Social CCTV

Artist Shaina Anand and Cornerhouse will open the CCTV control room at Manchester Metropolitan University to members of the public interested in participating in a unique artwork. People normally ‘enclosed’ by or traversing these CCTV networks will be offered the possibility of being in the ‘control room’ to view, observe and monitor this condition. The information and experience, and the media generated through mutual consent will form a video-based artwork for the exhibition What do you want? at Cornerhouse (April 4 – June 1).

These sessions will take place at MMU and will be filmed. Due to the location, groups of no more than two people can take part at a time.

Booking is compulsory: to book a place on this project and to set up a time and meeting point please contact Chris Clarke, Cornerhouse’s Visual Arts Education Officer at 01612001525 or email chris.clarke@cornerhouse.org
