Presented by Short Supply

Short Supply: FIND YOUR RHYTHM – Finding Your Creative Voice

Dive into the world of applying ideas and designing projects. Take your wants and needs from idea to reality.

This session will focus on how to apply your practice and ideas to developing fundable projects. We’ll think about how your wants and needs can be achieved in a real-world context, and how to organise this into a project proposal. We’ll work together and individually to consider the ‘what’, ‘where’, ‘when’, ‘how’ and ‘why’. We hope you will leave this session with ideas of how to progress your thoughts into reality.

In this series of sessions created for HOME, Short Supply will support Manchester Open and regional artists on their own creative journey from goal to realisation, sharing their building blocks for developing your art practice and career growth.

Whether artists are at the very start of their journey or just looking to recentre themselves for 2024, there’s something for everyone in these casual and collaborative sessions.

What can artists expect: Tips to uncover your interests and goals, idea generation, project planning and writing proposals, building resilience and navigating challenges, activities alone and in groups and peer-led learning. There will be pizza, post-it notes and fancy pens!
