Sarah is a Manchester based Sufi singer/songwriter. With a soulful voice and accompanied by a guitar or darabouka, Sarah’s raw a cappella/cantata style takes the audience into her world of emotions and feelings of love, faith, personal struggle, including sharing her political stance through influential, unique compositions.
She was trained by her father from an early age and with this tool, has performed nationally in front of thousands of people. She began writing and composing her own lyrics in 2003 and founded WING – a Nasheed group of female children. WING has performed at many cultural and diverse events raising awareness of the tradition of Islam through simple songs. This is to help educate and share with the community the commonality of the three faiths: Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
