SAFAR Film Festival: A Journey Through Space and Time

This event is not included in the HOME Film Pass.

The UK’s largest festival of Arab cinema returns to HOME this July!

Showcasing a sumptuous costume drama set in 16th century Algiers, a documentary charting the rise of the women’s movement in Sudan, and a coming-of-age tale of first love under occupation, SAFAR – which means ‘journey’ in Arabic – is this year mapping the region across a new axis and embarking on a journey through space and time in Arab cinema.

SAFAR is presented in partnership with the Shubbak Festival and is supported by the British Council, the Bagri Foundation and the City of London Corporation. It screens in 4 venues across London and 8 cities across the UK. View the festival website here.
