The Royle Family first aired in 1999 and found itself a well-earned place in the heart of millions of TV-loving households across the UK. Created by Caroline Aherne and Craig Cash, this classic revolves around a TV-obsessed working class family and their life at the turn of the millennium. The Royle’s were brought to life by inimitable performances from Ricky Tomlinson, Sue Johnston, Caroline Aherne, Ralf Little, Craig Cash and Liz Smith. Over the course of its run, the show won multiple BAFTAs and is internationally regarded as one of the best British comedies of all time.

To commemorate its 20th anniversary we are delighted to be joined by Sue Johnston (Barbara Royle) and Peter Martin (Joe Carroll) for a special Q&A going behind the scenes an iconic piece of Mancunian television.
