The RTS Student Awards celebrate outstanding visual and aural creativity originating from higher education institutions around the North West, and offer industry recognition of the craft, skills, innovation and initiative shown by the talented young filmmakers based in the region.
This year a panel of judges representing the BBC, ITV, Five, and Independent Television production have deliberated over the best entries in the Factual, Drama and Animation categories and will be hosting the final round on this evening. The winners will be presented with their awards and will see their work go forward to the National RTS Student Television Awards in London, May 2008.
All nominees will be able to meet industry representatives after the event at a complimentary RTS reception.
