To celebrate the release of Patti Cake$, a selection of female spoken word artists will be performing before the 20:35 screening of the film in the cafebar on Saturday Sep 02 between 19.30-20.30.
The three female performers, Sui Anukka, Heena Patel and Jane Bradley are all members of Commonword/Cultureword, a writing development organisation based in Manchester, providing opportunities for new and aspiring writers to develop their talent and potential. Jane Bradley has performed at various events around the UK, most recently at Edinburgh Fringe, and writes almost exclusively about young women.
The event is free and all are welcome! There will be an official Patti Cake$ T-shirt up for grabs at the event. Please be aware Patti Cake$ is a 15 rated film.
