Stacy Boldrick will explore the historical contexts of funerary monuments and death rituals. Looking at medieval tombs, funerary chapels and the contemporary work of Nick Crowe, she will ask questions about how attitudes to death and the afterlife have changed over the centuries.
Boldrick writes about medieval and contemporary art, and co-ordinates research projects for VARIE (Visual Arts Research Institute Edinburgh) at the University of Edinburgh.
