Agnès Varda’s career has spanned over 60 years across fiction films, documentaries, photography, exhibitions and art installations. This talk will focus on Varda’s evolution as a film director, from precursor of the French New Wave to documentarist and experimental artist; it will discuss her “cinecriture” creative approach and reassess her role as a feminist filmmaker.
