Family Music Workshop with Fariba Taghypoor

This workshop runs as part of Horizons Festival’s free creative family programme, led by Community Arts Northwest Artists who have taken part in the Pushing Boundaries programme. Pushing Boundaries supports artists from new migrant backgrounds, including those who have experienced forced migration to develop facilitation skills for working in schools. The programme was led and developed by Community Arts Northwest and Curious Minds.

Use everyday objects as musical instruments to play in a mini orchestra. Join Iranian musician, Fariba Taghypoor to explore some of the building blocks to making music… time and duration, silence, listening to others and paying attention to the quality of sound created by different materials.

This event will take place in the Weston Room.
