Minnelli + Minnelli

This short season of films celebrates the contribution to cinema of father and daughter, Vincente and Liza Minnelli.

Remembered today for his classic Hollywood musicals, Vincente Minnelli also made a series of lavish melodramas starring some of American cinema’s biggest stars.

As part of the season, HOME presents one of his most ambitious works: the Frank Sinatra vehicle, Some Came Running, alongside his exploration of the glamour of Hollywood, The Bad and the Beautiful.

A generation later, Liza Minnelli would become one of Hollywood’s biggest stars of the 1970s, gaining plaudits and an Oscar for her performance in Cabaret and working with top directors such as Martin Scorsese.
