Using a mix of individual and group exercises, these fun workshops with artist Jim Medway show you how to create your own characters and bring them to life. Inspired by David Shrigley’s deceptively simplistic illustrations, the basic elements of visual storytelling are explored, from composing panels to depicting emotion, action and situation. With an emphasis on communication, simplicity and clarity rather than drawing skills, individuals with very little art confidence can produce great results. Workshop participants must be aged 18 or over.
This workshop will be repeated on Sun 25 November for young people aged 14-17. Places for the young people’s workshop are free and should be booked by contacting livewire@cornerhouse.org
