From the depths of the Pirate Captain’s cabin, to the rolling hills of Waterly Bottom Farm, to the lush forest valley of Nick Park’s latest film Early Man, the crew at Aardman are responsible for creating some incredible worlds in miniature. These authentic environments give the character’s depth and act as an impressive environment for the animators to inhabit. Animator and Director Will Becher offers an insight into Aardman’s creative process, and looks at how the sets, puppets and performance help create some of the studio’s most iconic characters and shorts.
Will Becher is Animation Director on Nick Park’s latest feature film Early Man due for release in January 2018. He has worked as animator, director and creative at Aardman for over a decade on projects such as Creature Comforts, Chicken Run and Wallace and Gromit.
