Manchester Open 2024 Education Tours

Join Lucy, HOME’s Creative Development Practitioner; Visual Art, for a group tour of the Manchester Open. Aimed at schools groups, colleges or universities, these tours will invite pupils and students to explore the biggest celebration of Greater Manchester’s Creative Talent.

Enjoy a warm welcome and introduction for your group, and be guided through your exploration of over 400 works of local artwork from artists creating in Greater Manchester.

Through facilitated activities, games and discussion, you will enjoy a snapshot of the creative talent in Manchester, get an insight into some of the exhibiting artists and have the opportunity to ask behind-the-scenes questions to staff at the Gallery and explore the themes of the show. We can also chat to pupils and students about art careers, and opportunities at HOME for Young People.

Schools, Colleges and University groups are welcome to visit the Manchester Open during any opening times, but a guided tour and facilitated discussions and activities may not be avaialble. Self – guide activity sheets for schools are available in the gallery.

Please note, requests for a space to eat packed lunches must be made at time of booking and will only be confirmed if a space is available.
