First Street will be brought to life over the Manchester Folk Festival weekend.
On Saturday there’s anarchic outdoor entertainment to delight the whole family, with street theatre companies outside HOME in a colourful celebration of music and togetherness. Don’t miss Ramshacklicious turning up with The Band at the End of the World. They’ll arrive dressed in punk marching band attire, in a cloud of raucous brass heavy music, driving a home-made, flaming battle-church.
On Sunday the pace slows, with free folk and acoustic music in nearby bars and cafes. Treat yourself to brunch or unwind over a pint as you listen to live music from a hand-picked line-up of exceptional artists.
