This weekend, you’ll find our Community team at Homeground (the new outdoor venue by HOME) where we’re taking over the Bruntwood stage andExchange Square city stage.
Between midday and 7pm, we’ll be showcasing some of the freshest talent from our local Gorton community. From up and coming indie bands, to acapella choirs, to aspiring DJs & singers from the local area, we have you covered.
Line up as follows:
Afternoon People – Up and coming four-piece Indie Rock band from Manchester.
Sarah Angel – Fresh experimental soul sounds delving from RnB, spoken word to alternative house-funk.
HideOut Youthzone showcase – Showcase of talent from the HideOut Youthzone in Gorton. They work with young people aged 13-19 (up to 25 with additional needs), and offer a 7-day provision offering many different opportunities and pathways including sport, creative arts, and wellbeing along with enterprise and employability.
Wright Robinson College showcase -Wright Robinson College Vocal Group love performing for the local community and are excited to be participating in this amazing event. The choir perform regularly at The Monastery in Gorton and they have some of their senior vocalists performing today, a little taster of what you can expect from the full Vocal Group.
Crystal Choir – Stunning accapella sounds from this amazing choral group.
