Do you love drama and performing on stage?
Our Library Theatre’s Young Company (LTYC), previously the norfox Young People’s Theatre Company, offers a fantastic opportunity for performers aged 14-18 to develop their skills within a professional theatre environment.
Members of LTYC take part in weekly skills workshops where they are encouraged to be imaginative and push your creative boundaries, working alongside industry experts as well as forming strong bonds with fellow performers. The workshops take place at Capitol Theatre and the group will be working towards creating a piece of performance in April 2014.
Previous participants have gone on to complete courses in acting in some of the country’s most prestigious drama schools including RADA and Manchester School of Theatre. Some have gone on to seek careers in other areas of theatre-making whilst for others it has helped massively in building up their self-confidence.

LTYC aims to make performances that aren’t your usual youth theatre productions and with the Library Theatre and Cornerhouse joining forces, there will be exciting opportunities to produce collaborative work across theatre, visual art and film.
Want to become part of the team?
- Applications are open to 14-18 year olds (Year 10 – 13).
- There are 20 places available and participants will be expected to attend all sessions (unless we are informed beforehand and absence is agreed).
- LTYC is FREE for participants to attend and bus, train and tram travel costs of up to £5 per session will be reimbursed.
- Sessions will take place on Wednesday evenings during term time and for a week long rehearsal period in the Easter holidays. The first session will take place from 17:00.00-19:00 on Wed 6 Nov.
- Applicants will be informed if they have a place on Fri 1 Nov.
