Please note that due to unforeseen circumstances, Lali Chetwynd is unable to be at Cornerhouse to give her Tuesday Talk.
Chetwynd’s fabulous paintings and exuberant performance works explore her notions of the grotesque and the theatrical. She works collaboratively on her performances, which use cultural icons and history to create representations and expressions of ugliness and unfamiliarity with an element of the macabre.
In 2006 she performed as Spartacus Chetwynd with BMCA, Blackpool, and had her work included in the Tate Triennial. She lives in London.
