The Magick Lantern Cycle is an intriguing blend of popular culture, ironic humour and mysticism. Deliberately aiming to induce an altered state of consciousness in the spectator, they combine extreme subject matter with stunning cinematic innovation, and function as the devotional texts of an alternative religion. This event will include a talk by Anna Powell looking at the occult aesthetics of Anger’s films and their effect on the viewer. Includes screenings of INVOCATION OF MY DEMON BROTHER and LUCIFER RISING.
