Jesca Hoop is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist, a Californian who is now an adopted daughter of Manchester. Her career has spanned five albums of finely crafted song writing, sung from a unique intelligence and an unparalleled voice, culminating in 2017’s hugely acclaimed Memories are Now.

Her much-anticipated follow-up to Memories are Now is new studio album STONECHILD – a culmination of life and musical experience and a self-described ‘compassion project’. Released on Fri 5 July by Memphis Industries, STONECHILD is Hoop refined and defined. Beautiful, subtle and stark – it’s her best yet.

Having spent much of the last 18 months on tour – highlights of which include a triumphant sold out show at Union Chapel, appearances at Glastonbury and Latitude festivals, and appearing as special guest at José González’ Royal Albert Hall show – Jesca is currently working with producer John Parish (PJ Harvey, This is the Kit, Aldous Harding) on her new album.

Jesca heads out around the UK and Europe in October, including this rare concert in our Theatre 1.
