In Conversation: reboot.fm and Martin Vincent

Artists Diana McCarty & Pit Schultz from reboot.fm will discuss the potential of radio for artists, wider cultures and communities, with artist, curator and writer Martin Vincent, reflecting on the medium’s romantic status and revolutionary character.

Martin Vincent co-founded the Annual Programme in Manchester in 1995, during which, taking inspiration from Manchester’s then many pirate radio stations, he presented Programme, an FM radio transmission of everything that went on in the living room of another artist’s sixth floor flat in Salford.
Throughout the 90s Vincent was a freelance broadcaster, broadcasting on BBC Radio. Vincent also co-founded The International 3 gallery, Manchester, and is currently the Director of Aye-aye books.
