Maz Hedgehog and mandla rae create a live, one-night only performative response to Human Measure by the groundbreaking artist Cassils, weaving in and amongst the gallery exhibition.
What happens when each of these different wordsmiths gaze upon the same pieces of art? What are the results of their different bodies and varying shades of Blackness taking up the gallery space? This performance is the sculpting together of each of these artist’s responses to Cassils’ work.
Maz Hedgehog is a writer, spoken work poet and educator based in Manchester. They have performed for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Manchester International Festival, as well as theatres, open mic nights and events all over the England. My debut chapbook, Vivat Regina, is published by Superbia Books.
