With gig venues currently closed, HOME presents a trio of exclusive virtual performances by three Black artists based in the North West. Enjoy this special mix of sounds, from spoken word and soul, to jazz, trip-hop and R’nB.

To!u × Aden make up a third of Manchester-based six-piece soundscape and soul collective Pieces of a Man. As frontman and beat-maker respectively they use wordplay, song, loops and samples to share stories from the margins.

To!u is a Nigerian-blooded spoken-word, hiphop soul artist and theatre performer, passionate about pushing the visibility of queer people of colour. He co-organises ‘Rainbow Noir’ – a peer support and community action group celebrating and platforming Manchester’s LGBTQI people of colour.

Aden is a Bermudan-born remixer, composer, engineer, well versed across the musical spectrum; from classical chamber & percussion ensembles, drum lines, corps & marching bands, right through to contemporary jazz, neo-soul and hiphop groups.

Having studied and refined their craft both on home soil and overseas, they now perform across the UK and US for various projects.
