Led by Isabelle Vanderschelden, Senior Lecturer in French at Manchester Metropolitan University, this intermediate to advanced level French study morning features a screening of Claire Denis’ 35 Shots of Rum (wEngST), an introduction in French and the chance to ask post-screening questions. This compassionate tale set in the Parisian suburbs, focuses on a father-daughter relationship between widower Lionel, and his adolescent daughter Joséphine and their attempts to come to terms with the changes they face.
