Filmmaking 101: Editing

A half day workshop on film editing, to coincide with our Dede Allen season celebrating one of the great female film editors of cinema.

In this workshop editor Jasmin John will talk you through the basic principles of editing, including finding your style and defining your practice before running an introduction to DaVinci/Davinci 101 short tutorial.

You will then get the chance to put your fresh knowledge into practice using test footage.

The session will conclude with a debrief and sharing of the work you have achieved during the session with the rest of the group.

Relevant to self-taught filmmakers or editors who would like to get a proper grasp on editing concepts and speedy process, whether you want to edit your own films and go down the editor route.
