FilmFear 2022

Film4’s FilmFear returns to HOME on Halloween for five nights of strange, scary and unsettling cinema.

This time around, we’re approaching the genre from a different angle – there’s less hardcore horror, fewer traditional bogeymen and blood remains unspilt. Instead, the English landscape holds dark secrets in three films, while emotional haunting is at the heart of another spirited trio. Facing fears, unpacking the inexplicable, reckoning with demons (including from the perspective of one of our favourite filmmakers) – you won’t jump out of your skin, but you may be spooked and shaken to your very soul!
