Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony and Performance

Come and experience a multi-sensory Ethiopian coffee ceremony and performance!

With freshly made, crisp, vibrant and sweet coffee to heighten your senses. Do you prefer your coffee with a spoon of sugar or with salt, milk or butter? In Ethiopia, the coffee ceremony or Buna Tetu is considered to be the most important social occasion in the village and an invitation indicates respect and friendship. Guests at a ceremony may discuss topics such as politics, community issues or local gossip.

And to complete the experience, Masresha Wondmu deftly combines elements of Ethiopian acrobatics, juggling and dance in one high energy set! The distinction between dance and acrobatics is very close in Ethiopia as many of the traditional dances are very athletic.
