Roxy McKenna is a BFI NETWORK Talent Executive based within Film Hub North. She works across the North of England to fund and develop early career writers, directors and producers. Prior to joining Film Hub North in 2019 she was a producer and then development exec at regional screen agency Northern Film and Media for a number of years.

Adam Bouabda is the head of Sea & Sky Pictures, a small indie based in the North East of England. The company has recently been commissioned by Channel 4 and BBC Comedy and is currently pitching to all major broadcasters and streamers, including Netflix, Discovery and YouTube Originals. He is the producer of Lore, a horror anthology film by Patrick Ryder, James Bushe and Greig Johnson, starring Richard Brake. Lore is currently in post-production and is being looked at by several sales agents. He is the producer of The Wilds and Nature, wo BFI funded short films.  He is also the exec-producer of Splinter, a psychological chiller by David Bryant which has worldwide sales with MiLA Media. Adam has a slate of horror features that are in varying degrees of development including Familiar by David Ellison, which the proof of concept short film  of the same name, is winning big on the festival circuit. He regularly attends all major film markets and is continually growing his network of international sales agents and distributors.

Clodagh Chapman is a Manchester-based filmmaker and theatre maker. Her debut short, First Kiss (With A Girl), has made the Official Selection of BIFA- and BAFTA-qualifying film festivals, including LSFF and SQIFF. Her work for stage includes butterfly (VAULT Festival), which was dubbed “a brilliant show full of heart” [Guardian]. Clodagh is also a BFI Film Academy Young Programmer. In this role, she’s hosted and curated events for BFI London Film Festival, previewed submissions for BFI Future Film Festival, and continues to host interviews with some of the UK’s most exciting up-and-coming filmmakers.

Lisa Laws works freelance across a range of talent development initiatives.  She is currently producing a program of free BFI Film Academy activity across the North and she leads the development and delivery of the North East Comedy Hot House, nurturing and championing northern scripted comedy talent on broadcast platforms. Prior to this she has produced a film festival, managed a range of strategic new talent and professional development initiatives and worked as an AD in feature films and HETV. 

Led in partnership by HOME, Manchester and Showroom Cinema, Sheffield working with a wide-ranging group of exhibitors and filmmakers throughout the region. This activity is part of the UK-wide BFI Film Academy programme and is supported  using funds from the National Lottery.
