This workshop was led by Nuria López de la Oliva, an independent curator who works with individual artists, artist-led spaces and other creative organisations to develop innovative projects. Nuria helped participants develop their artistic practice and work towards developing their portfolio. She took them through an interactive presentation exploring how to create an exciting portfolio and how artists use them in their professional careers. This was followed by a hands-on practical workshop which provided them with an immediate opportunity to add a brand new piece of work to their existing portfolio.
Creative Careers workshops are for 15-18 year olds (Year 10 – Year 13), sessions are free to attend and no previous experience is required. Lunch will be provided for free and travel reimbursement of up to £5 will be provided upon proof of travel by bus, tram or train.
