Led by professional makeup and special effects artist Alana Fores, this practical workshop taught participants how to create particular looks for film and media projects. Alana has worked on films, music videos and fashion shoots and took participants through some of the key techniques and skills she uses to turn people into zombies, create realistic injuries or put together high fashion looks. Participants also got the chance to talk to Alana about the different projects she’s been part of and to find out what it’s really like to work in the industry.
Creative Careers workshops are for 15-18 year olds (Year 10 – Year 13), sessions are free to attend and no previous experience is required. Lunch will be provided for free and travel reimbursement of up to £5 will be provided upon proof of travel by bus, tram or train.
Petrol or parking reimbursement will not be possible.
