Join campaigners with lived experience of forced migration, to hear about the national Communities Not Camps campaign, advocating for the right for asylum seekers to continue living within communities, and not barges, camps or barracks. Panellists will give an overview of the campaign and will explain ways to get involved. Curated by Refugee Action and Asylum Matters in collaboration with Community Arts Northwest and HOME as part of Horizons Festival 2024.
As part of this workshop there is the opportunity to make and take away your own Communities Not Camps banner supported by artist facilitators from HOME in a printmaking workshop as well as the option to contribute to our social media action to support the campaign.
