Rey Chow is Anne Firor Scott Professor of Literature at Duke University, USA. She is the author of numerous books on literature, film, and cultural theory and politics. Her most recent publications include Entanglements, or Transmedial Thinking about Capture (Duke UP, 2012) and The Rey Chow Reader, ed. Paul Bowman (Columbia UP 2010). Her work on contemporary Chinese cinema has been awarded the prestigious James Russell Lowell Prize by the Modern Language Association and her scholarly writings have appeared in more than ten languages.
