Artist’s Talk: Tracey Emin

Tracey Emin’s notoriety often precedes her work. Her TV appearances and high media profile have created a public persona which is as confrontational and as charismatic as her art. Nominated for last year’s Turner Prize, the frankness and relentless self-disclosure in her work has created a critical storm in the sphere of British contemporary art. Currently exhibiting in ‘Diary’, Emin’s work is obsessively confessional, emotionally and sexually explicit. Love her or hate her, this is an opportunity to hear the artist discuss the development of her work and issues surrounding it. There will also be opportunities for questions. This event will be held at the Geoffry Manton Building, all Saints Campus, MMU. Tickets cost £2.50 and are available from Cornerhouse Box Office on 0161 200 1500In association with Manchester Metropolitan University
