Cornerhouse in collaboration with FutureEverything, is pleased to host artist-in-residence Hafsah Naib, who will respond to our current exhibition Contemporary Art Iraq. Naib works in a site-specific way, negotiating access into a range of places and spaces through which notions of public and private, individual and collective, contemporary art and popular culture can be explored. For this project, Naib will locate her practice within Cornerhouse Galleries, initiating a range of creative encounters with exhibition visitors to produce an online moving book. Instigating a new encounter every hour, she will document it in collaboration with the gallery-goer through methods such as video, drawing, photography and writing.
