Sometimes known as the ‘father of cinematic surrealism’, Luis Buñuel was born 100 years ago in Spain, although he made most of his films outside his native land. This season offers the opportunity to explore themes and styles in the iconoclastic director’s work across different periods. Sadly, his later films are unavailable owing to expiration of UK copyright.
