HOME is a key MADE (Manchester Cultural Education Partnership) partner. MADE is a collaboration between cultural and education organisations from across Manchester. Lisa Allen (Head of Creative Development) co-chairs their Youth Voice Task Group with Elizabeth Ransome from Chorlton High School. Together, they support the Creative Influencers group.
The Creative Influencers are a group of diverse young people from across Greater Manchester who meet monthly to discuss issues that matter to them, how they can make a difference in society, how they can get other young people’s opinions and voices heard from all the different communities in Manchester. Cultural professionals are working with them collaboratively to best understand what will work for them and their organisations to welcome young people and create opportunities for them to flourish.
Most recently the Creative Influencers channelled their conversations on what’s important to them coming out of the pandemic creating banners which they used as part of the Manchester Day Parade.
What an amazing Saturday morning I’ve had, meeting a group of young creative influencers! Some fantastic ideas for new projects and some very honest discussions #2022ouryear @HOME_mcr @MADE_Mcr @GarryBridges pic.twitter.com/TdQsjzifCb
