Vote for your favourite film in exposures

Cornerhouse Digital Reporter and exposures Intern Emma Chibulu looks ahead to the festival competition screenings and asks for your help…

This week exposures kicks off and looking back to when we started makes me realise how far we’ve come in the last few months. Back in autumn last year, we rounded up all of the entries and began our selection process, watching films ranging from the weird to the wonderful on the biggest TV we could find. From the hundreds of films that we were sent from across all corners of the UK, we whittled it down to 44 and this week those films will make it onto the big screen.

But the selection process doesn’t end there, as the films have been nominated and judged ready for our ‘Best of the Fest’ awards ceremony on Thu 24 Feb. However one judge has yet to pass their verdict and that judge is YOU, the audience.

So, how does it work? Like a cultural caucus, we invite each and every one of you to come to our 6 competition screenings across the 3 day festival here at Cornerhouse. We will showcase some of the greatest emerging talent in film and at the end of each screening, we’ll ask you to vote for your favourite. It’s that easy!

And to give you a taster of what you can expect why not check out these reviews from my fellow Cornerhouse Digital Reporters…
