The Victorian Newspaper Club was a drama and history project delivered by the Library Theatre Company in five primary schools in Whythenshawe, Manchester, sponsored by World Duty Free. Key Stage 2 pupils used drama and play to explore what life may have been like for children living during the Victorian times. We investigated the different jobs that children might have done as well as the people that might have employed them. Through these workshops pupils developed characters and narratives which they used to create their own Victorian newspaper stories.
