Henry Filloux-Bennett to join HOME as our new Executive Director and Deputy CEO in Summer 2022

We’re delighted to announce that Henry Filloux-Bennett will be joining the team as our new Executive Director and Deputy CEO in Summer 2022.

Henry has been Chief Executive and Artistic Director of the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield since 2019. Prior to his role at the Lawrence Batley Theatre, Henry was Head of Marketing at The Lowry, and previously Head of Marketing and Communications at Nottingham Playhouse. Henry has also worked as a general manager and producer for organisations including the RSC, Theatre Royal Haymarket and Bill Kenwright Ltd.

As a writer, Henry composed the award-winning Nigel Slater’s Toast and over the last two years he also wrote What a Carve Up! based on the novel by Jonathan Coe and The Picture of Dorian Gray, which was seen in over 70 countries and chosen at New York Times Critic’s Picks, The Guardian’s Top 10 theatre shows and The Telegraph’s Top 50 Cultural Events of 2020. In January 2021 he was included in The Stage 100 in recognition of his work responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are delighted that Henry is joining HOME this summer, bringing his considerable experience to the organisation. He joins us at an exciting time, as we develop our strategic priorities and continue to create great artistic experiences for our audiences, delivering significant social and economic benefit for the city region.”

Dave Moutrey, Director and CEO of HOME

“Having lived in Manchester for over five years, I am absolutely thrilled to be joining HOME and coming back to the city I love so much. For over half a decade HOME has been my cinema of choice, a theatre and gallery where I always know I’ll get to see something to satisfy my curiosity, and a place that serves some of the nicest food in Manchester.

I can’t wait to be a part of the journey as it emerges out of the shadow of the last two years, and as it confirms its place as one of the North’s most exciting cultural organisations.”
