exposures: new filmmakers lead the way

exposures is a unique festival that gives students from across the UK the opportunity to showcase their work to a cinema audience.  Not only does it offer a platform for talented emerging filmmakers but also gives a unique insight into how the TV and film industry works. This year the festival is held at Cornerhouse between Tue 16 – Thurs 18 November and offers 3 jam packed days full of competition screenings and special events.

For those interested in scripting and want to develop their story skills why not check out the BBC Writers Workshop. From a comedy drama about a body popping plague to a hard hitting documentary set in Johannesburg it’s definately worth watching the 6 exposure Competition Programme Screenings during the festival. And One World Media Live Pitch gives five student filmmakers the opportunity to battle it out for a £2000 funding prize with their ideas for a documentary about the developing world.

These are just a handful of the events going on over the festival. Check out the full schedule here.
