Adios ¡Viva! 2013

After a delightful final few days of the festival the dust is finally settling and we’re very pleased with what we see – audience figures up again on the previous year, farewell notes from our lovely guests (who’d like to thank you all for welcoming them so warmly), and some very happy customer comments.

It was great to see so many of you enjoying the cerveza and sangria at the Instituto Cervantes on Saturday night – don’t forget their wonderful photography exhibition Conexiones continues until Fri 10 May.

And for all those who made it to Cornerhouse café on Sunday afternoon there was another treat in store, the Mosaic Guitar Duo (Emma Smith and Rebecca Parnell) performing Spanish-themed music as part of the Royal Northern College of Music’s 40th Anniversary celebrations.

While our 2013 film programme may have finished, if your heart still longs for some Hispanic culture you can catch Mexican artist Yoshua Okón’s exhibition Octopus in Gallery 1 until Mon 1 Apr.

Thank you to everyone who came to the festival, and especially to those who got involved in the events, we couldn’t do it without you! And here’s a quick look back at our festival journey…

Until next time, hasta la próxima…
