Origin

Influenced by John Carpenter’s The Thing, Origin is a short sci-fi film that follows a confused young woman stuck in a vicious cycle of memory loss.

Origin was made as part of the LiveWire Film Camp 2007 and was funded by Mediabox. 23 young people travelled to Lanehead in the Lake District with a team of professional filmmakers who guided the group through the filmmaking process in just 7 days! The young filmmakers had complete ownership of the film and they were involved in the entire filmmaking process. They came up with ambitious ideas, shooting scenes using underwater camera equipment and using film cult classics as inspiration.
