Insomnia, a pas de deux drama for two girls and a piano man, is a highly entertaining dream and thought-provoking piece for children, adults and insomniacs alike. It weaves strands of physical and musical storytelling leaving it up to an audience to decipher the actions and inventions, or simply enjoy the performers’ ongoing excuses to stay awake. It is both funny and moving and can be experienced as a journey through styles and genres of music, dance and theatre.
All Insomnia ticket holders are invited to attend a free practical workshop led by Mia Theil Have and Nikola Kodjabashia, key members of the creative team behind our critically acclaimed Romeo & Juliet and the creative force behind Insomnia. Find more information here. There is also a post-show discussion each evening on making cross-art theatre.
Riotous Company is a crossover theatre of stories, music, dance, pictures and poetry founded by artistic director Mia Theil Have with patron Kathryn Hunter, composer Nikola Kodjabashia, designer Luis F. Carvalho and a team of associate artists.
