Mando

Directed by Ebrahim Saeedi

A film of refuge and rediscovery, Mandoo finds Sheelan tracing the footsteps of her uncle who fled to Iraq during the Iranian Revolution. She eventually finds him, but he has suffered a stroke and lost the capacity of speech. After discovering her uncle wishes to return to Iranian Kurdistan where he’ll be able to live his final days in his homeland, Sheelan decides to make the journey too – but the road to Iran is long and full of twists and turns.

The previously advertised post-screening Q&A has been cancelled. Unfortunately, the film’s producer Shakhawan Idris was unable to obtain a UK visa. We apologise for any disappointment this may cause.
