Filmed on location around Manchester, Mount Pleasant is a new Sky 1 HD eight episode comedy drama which stars a wealth of British talent and follows the not-so-perfect life of 30-something Lisa (Sally Lindsay) and her husband Dan (Daniel Ryan) as they constantly get caught up in the complicated lives of their friends, workmates and in-laws.
Lisa is a real woman in a real marriage living in a real part of Manchester. She has no idea that another woman, Kate (Lisa Tarbuck), is making a play for her husband Dan. On a daily basis Lisa has to fend off her temptress neighbour Bianca, simultaneously toying with her own emotions when sexy singleton Jack arrives in town. Lisa navigates the highs and lows with her best friends Shelley (Angela Griffin) and Denise. She also remains a loving daughter to her ever-present parents Sue (Pauline Collins) and Barry (Bobby Ball).
This advance preview event will include a screening of the first episode (43 mins) of Mount Pleasant followed by a Q&A led by Heat Magazine’s TV Editor Boyd Hilton, with talent including writer Sarah Hooper, director Dewi Humphreys and lead actors Sally Lindsay and Daniel Ryan.
