Despite the prevailing image of Mickey Mouse at the wheel of Steamboat Willie convincing the world that animation began as a very American medium, cinema animation in fact has its roots in the UK. This course supplies an overview of that fascinating history and reveals how a collection of amazing artists each helped shape this animated isle.
Led by Steve Henderson, editor of Skwigly Online Animation Magazine and co-director of Manchester Animation Festival.
Beginners’ level, no prior knowledge necessary. This evening course will include six sessions and two course screenings.
