Stage Manager Amy Chandler nominated for prestigious award

We are delighted to say that our stage manager, Amy Chandler, has been shortlisted for Best Stage Manager at this year’s Stage Management Association Awards for her work on The Funfair, The Oresteia and Endgame at HOME.

Amy was nominated by HOME’s Company Stage Manager, Jamie Byron and her success is due in no small part to the brilliant feedback she’s received from the cast and creative team on each of the productions she’s worked on here at HOME.

Blanche McIntyre, Director of The Oresteia said: “Amy was constantly a delight to work with – cheerful, optimistic and good company, as well as sensible and practical. I really enjoyed doing a show with her, and I know it couldn’t have happened at all without her skills, personal qualities, stamina, and commitment.”

Christopher Wright, who starred in our opening production, The Funfair, adds: “To call her merely professional would undersell her. Amy cares; she cares about the job, she cares about people, and she understands that creating any theatre is a collaboration, and she plays her part superbly.”

The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony on Wednesday 22 June 2016.

Good luck Amy!
