Event/ This screening will be followed by a conversation between filmmaker Pratibha Parmar and poet, playwright, and novelist, Jackie Kay. 

The groundbreaking films of Pratibha Parmar have been raising issues central to feminism over many decades. Please join us for a screening of two of this award-winning filmmaker and activist’s iconic films: A Place of Rage (1991) and Khush (1991).  

This event kicks-off the Sexuality Summer School and is one of a series of film screenings accompanying the Women in Revolt! Art and Activism in the UK 1970-1990 exhibition currently touring from Tate Britain and on view at Whitworth Gallery 7 Mar – 1 Jun 2025.
