Join Manchester Animation Festival at HOME on Sun 9 Nov for Family Day, now with even more events!

Feature film Hola Frida is not to be missed, plus we have an exclusive preview of the new Netflix Animated film In You Dreams! For a shorter spell the whole family will enjoy our selection of short film screenings:

The BBC Family Boxset, featuring new shows and old favourites, Shorts for Teens, bringing together quirky, impactful and creative shorts from our films in competition, and Shorts for Children, showcasing some of the best in kid’s animation from around the globe.

Visitors can discover the wonders of stop motion and create their own movie in the MAF's clay stop-Motion Animation Workshops. Sessions at 9:50 and 11:10 are best suited for kids aged 5-9, whilst the stop-motion workshop at 15:00 is best suited for teen creators (age 11-18). Thanks to HUE for kindly providing awesome modelling clay!

There are bunches of must-see events for young creatives;

 Join Francesca Adams, Baz Sells and Will Anderson for all the tips, tricks and inspiration you need to get started.

Awesome animator Laura Tofarides will take us on a tour of her journey into animation, covering everything from features, to commercials, to working with Directors such as Nick Park and Wes Anderson.

Excited to see some award- winning films? The Young Animator of the Year Awards will screen winning nominations across a range of categories, created by young animators aged 11-22. This is truly one of the highlights of Manchester Animation Festival — we can’t wait to celebrate the incredible talent coming out of the UK.
