Welcome to the warped mirror world of Imaginary Friends, the new solo show by award-winning writer-performer Daniel Bye, exploring everything from grief, morality and the end of the world, to authenticity in the contemporary media landscape.

Following a personal tragedy, a floundering TV comic finds comfort in his imaginary friends, a selection of media personalities of varying notoriety. They’re terrible people and he knows it. But the ideas they’re coming up with for his new show are terrific. The results are controversial – but in the attention economy, that’s rocket fuel! And isn’t it ok to go to extremes, so long as you’re on the right side of history?

Bye’s trademark brand of hilarious, surreal and mind-bending storytelling will take you on a wild trip through the looking glass. Don’t miss this unique and unsettling satire that asks whether, in the end, people aren’t quite as bad as they seem.
